Outbound calls

Campaigns — and what the law requires

For list-based outreach the law is stricter than most people assume. Read this before uploading a list.

Under section 6 of Hungarian Act XLVIII of 2008 on commercial advertising, a marketing call made by an automated calling system requires the recipient's prior, clear and explicit consent.

That is why the system requires you to state the source of that consent — where and when you obtained it. Without it the call is never placed.

It also requires:
- a separate outbound number, not your incoming line. If a campaign gets marked as spam, that number suffers, not the one your customers ring.
- the Pro or Premium plan

What the system handles by itself:
- skipping numbers on your block list
- keeping to the calling window
- excluding anyone who opts out, immediately and permanently

You are responsible for the consent being real. The system can only check that you stated it — not that it is true.
