Setting your prices
"How much does it cost?" is the most common question on a business phone. Someone who gets no answer often hangs up and calls someone else.
On the Settings page you can list your prices item by item. For example:
painting a room £18-25 per m2
call-out in town free
hourly rate £45
The assistant can quote these — but ONLY these. Anything not on the list gets no figure: it says it cannot price that over the phone, and offers a callback or a site visit.
With every price it adds that the final amount depends on seeing the job. That is not hedging: it keeps the figure indicative rather than an offer you can be held to.
Leave the list empty and the assistant avoids the subject, exactly as before.
